Hey yall! Can you believe I haven’t posted a blog since May of 2020? I can. Because whew, 2020 was real! But I’m back and I’m better. Just wanted to start the year off with some updates and my plans for this year. Even though my plans don’t matter because… God.
What happened in 2020?
I started the year hosting my very first Mommy and Me retreat. I went to Vegas with my husband for a baecation and the minute we got back COVID hit and that was that. I spent lots of time in the hospital — I think I’ll share this eventually because it was real. I was real life depressed and how to pull myself up and out of a funk several times. Can anyone relate? I officially became a business owner of For Mamas + Minis the black mama’s guide to nurturing bonds with our minis + building worldwide support systems through events, resources, travel, + fashion. As an extension, I started my Women’s and Children’s minimalist clothing line. Yes, I be doing too much. I know. Ha!
Finished the year with my husband battling COVID and then instead of waiting, I decided to quit my job and walk into 2021 working full time for myself. Nervous is an understatement but I’m trusting God and letting him lead me through it all.
What’s 2021 lookin’ like?
I quit my job butttt now I’m a homeschool mom. (Got tips? Please help!) So, my load is still pretty cray. I would love to share weekly blog posts. Still mama things, toddler stuff, marriage, and life but after starting my businesses, I do want to share more resources and things that can be helpful for those wanting to start their own business. So, just expect a little bit of this and a little bit of that. LOL.
I’m going to get out of my comfort zone and start creating more video content. So, if watching videos is your thing, subscribe to my channel. If it’s not your thing… still subscribe, please. Lol! In addition to creating content for my social accounts, I’ll still be working with businesses to provide social media strategy and management. I have been taking product shoots for business, planning their content, and managing some accounts.
