Water Challenge

As a woman, wife, mommy, HUMAN lol, I do entirely too much except consume enough water daily. My husband challenged me a few times to drink a gallon of water in a day and I was hype when I did it but then I barely drank any the next day. Lol! Terrible? I know. So, I decided to challenge myself (and whoever else wants to join) to see if drinking more water a day would increase my milk supply and make me feel better physically overall.

My Plan: Drink 1 gallon of water every day for 7 days straight. No soda. No juice. No coffee! Literally, just water! Feel free to add lemon if you absolutely NEED some kind of flavor. I will however, continue to drink my lactation breakfast smoothies

For breastfeeding mamas: I will be pumping (at least) twice (once in the morning and once at work) a day to see if my supply changes from the beginning to the end.  I know this is not a lot however, I usually only pump twice a day because I’m home with Ryann most of the day.

Not a breastfeeding mama? Not a problem! You can still join the challenge to see how your body feels overall after the challenge. I’m doing it for that reason too! My husband is joining me mainly to hold me accountable. Lol! So, find someone who can do the same for/with you.

Note: I would suggest buying all of your gallons of water at one time just so you already have them each morning to start your day!

I label mine (because I’m extra) but also since my husband and I are doing it together. For motivational purpose, I also like to use my water bottle because it’s cute. Lol! So if you need to do the same, you can hit up Dollar Tree or simply order a cheap one from *Amazon* of course. There’s also these really cute pre-labeled bottles on Amazon. I will link it below!

So, if you’re down, we’re starting Sunday, February 24th and going for the full week up until Saturday, March 2nd! Yes, I probably would get better results if I did it longer however, in 2019 I made a commitment to be realistic. A week is too long so that’s all I could stick to at the moment. LOL! I also want this to be the start of me drinking more water so I’m hoping this challenge will allow me to do just that.

Another note: (Advice giving to me from my husband) Take it slow! Label your bottle by the hour, do whatever you can to make sure you are consuming enough to finish it by the day but don’t over do it! You’ll probably be using the bathroom frequently so don’t drink the gallon too quickly. Just paste yourself.

If you’re joining me, grab your bottle, and post a picture on your IG feed or story with the hashtag #W2WWaterChallenge! I’ll repost it on my story AND try my best to check in with each person once the challenge is over!

So, grab a friend, a partner, a spouse, whomever, and join me! Be sure to subscribe so that you will get an update when I post my results!

I’m in! I definitely don’t drink enough water. I will do good one day and that’s about it!
