Very Berry Lactation Smoothie

I’ve been making all kinds of smoothies for breakfast and one day realized, I could be making a smoothie that could be increasing my milk production. And so, I’ve been adding brewer’s yeast to them all and decided to share this Very Berry Lactation recipe!

Total time: 10 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup of black berries and raspberries
  • 1 tsp Brewer’s Yeast
  • 1 cup of almond milk
  • 1/2 cup of non-dairy yogurt
  • 1/3 cup of old fashion oats
  • 1 tbsp of honey (or a sweetener you prefer)
  • hand full of ice (unless you’re using frozen fruit)
  • 1 tbsp of flax or chia seeds

Instructions:

  1. Add and blend the fruit, milk, and yogurt.
  2. Add all of your other ingredients and blend it altogether.
  3. Enjoy!

Note: You may need to blend a little longer than usual since you are adding oats. Also, be careful with the brewers yeast because it is really powerful and can take over the entire taste of the smoothie if you use too much! If you are not a mommy or breastfeeding, remove the brewer’s yeast and enjoy a morning smoothie!
